Note that SA asks for you to stay a year, but can't enforce it. If you really want a higher wage than what ScribeAmerica provides and have nowhere else to go, you can always apply to work at SA for a few months, then move on to a new scribing company with better pay after you gain experience. Long story short, it won't hurt to ask for a higher wage, but I doubt they'll provide one. Scribing isn't really meant to be a sustainable job, it's more of a stepping stone for people looking to go into more advanced jobs in the medical field. On the other hand, more private companies or specialties like clinics often tend to pay a lot more, but they usually ask or recommend for at least some experience. On the bright side, they will take practically anyone, because we're so short staff. Aside from trainers and chief scribes, which are paid more, that's pretty much the flat rate for all of my coworkers. Here's why I quit: It's finals week and they wanted me to work 4 days 6AM-5PM, one day in the satellite clinic 2 hours away. I worked for physicians in a competitive IM subspecialty, many well known, a few easily nationally recognized. In many ways, this position was to die for. For example, ScribeAmerica at my location is $11/hour, and raises to 11.50/hour after 90 days from your first solo shift. Reaction score 492 1 Members don't see this ad. Been working with them for the past 4-6 months now, and all of the other scribes that I've worked with (some have graduated from college and are going into med school) are being paid roughly the same amount as me, and I'm still in college. Overall I've had a very pleasant experience with AQuity but I did have trouble with management in the beginning.I honestly highly doubt that ScribeAmerica will pay based off of whether or not you have a BS. Mine emails me pictures of heart shaped prostates when he gets bored haha. Those working full-time over 36 hours per week are. The pay is not great and you will probably be overworked but it's an amazing learning experience! Bonus points if you get along with your physician as well. Scribe America scribes are paid hourly and the pay is in the 9 to 10 per hour range on average. Some prefer detailed precharting and some don't- really up to your physician's preferences! AQuity will let you clock in an extra 2 hours per shift for precharting but if your provider is seeing 30+ patients a day, it will take more. I think everyone's experiences start to differ here- it really depends on what kind of provider you get matched with. It's $9/hr for training but you get bumped up to $12/hr once you start scribing for your assigned provider! I got placed with a provider about 2 months ago now and it's been a super smooth sail ever since. Training for AQuity is hectic but not difficult- just a bunch of assignments to get through along with learning how to use like 94098234 different websites. I think the onboarding/training for SA was a lot easier but it definitely took a LOT longer for me. 133 Q&A Interviews 3 Photos Want to work here View jobs ScribeAmerica salaries: How much does ScribeAmerica pay Job Title Popular Jobs Location United States Average Salaries at ScribeAmerica Popular Roles Medical Scribe 12.16 per hour Marketing Associate Entry Level 16.35 per hour State Tested Nursing Assistant 14.
